Target: Halloween 2015

Loving the goodies I've been seeing at Target this year! A lot of buttons to be pressed, and spooky noises to be heard from these dec's...

...Especially this guy!

#HaunterLife

Pretty bummed to say I won't be able to decorate much this Halloween, let alone have my annual party. Feels really not right. My inner Haunter is hurting from lack of expression. Let's just say moving sucks. But I've been getting my fill of Halloween decor and nostalgia by living vicariously through movies and Pinterest like any other white girl! Been building up all of my excessive Halloween boards, especially my nostalgic/Halloween geek board:

My Favorite Nightmares

Been having so many nightmares lately. It reminds me of when I was a kid, back when the nightmares were due to my indulging in the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series by Alvin Schwartz, illustrated by the amazing Stephen Gammell. I love looking at Stephen Gammell's work this time of year anyway, so why not revisit the old nightmares? At least they were more interesting back then...

I usually share the classics, from the Scary Stories series, but here are a few rare illustrations from other books featuring Gammell's work. I found them on Pinterest (here's my #HaunterLife for more goodies) which led me to a great blog called Razorwire Pictures, featuring even more rare illustrations. It also included a few other Halloween-themed/spooky throwback books from childhood - not illustrated by Gammell, but are still part of a great trip down memory lane!

Oh, and then there's these... I want them.

Cost Plus World Market: Halloween 2015

Loved everything I saw at World Market this last weekend! My contacts were bugging me, so I looked teary eyed... didn't help that I was gaping at every awesome Halloween decoration or treat I saw, people probably thought I was truly in awe... maybe I was...

The Great Pumpkin Project

Absolutely loving this idea! I first heard about this from Pumpkin Rot, of course, and promised I'd share it along! Not sure I can pitch in as I'm a little bit busy since I'm moving during these next few days, but if you're a haunter or Halloween purest, feel free to keep classic Jack o's alive and join in!

Here's the project: carve a pumpkin for every night left in October and leave it in a place that you feel needs a handsome jack o' lantern. Here's the site for the details, where I found these fantastic pictures from people from around the country, and the world, showing off their jack o' lanterns in awesome places: The Great Pumpkin Project.com
