The Boss

"The time has come," the Walrus said...

I recently parted with my job as a character host at Disneyland. It was such fun, I'll always cherish the experiences I had there, and Disneyland will forever remain a second home for me. One that has always enticed my creativity. Sometimes I look at the stories/screenplays I've been writing these past few years and I've realized how much of a hand Disneyland has lent into that creative realm. My Westerns remind me of Frontierland, my Southern Gothic stories bring my mind straight into New Orleans square, and my interest in the jungle makes me think of Adventureland. These are pieces of inspiration I'll always take with me, especially when I make them darker in my own tales... Hey, I can't help it, I'm a haunter at heart! This being said, I knew the time had come for me to move forward with what I had gained there. Coming up on my last year of school now, I'd like to focus solely on my creative goals in writing, comedy, and filmmaking. All of which I'd like to intertwine with my haunter tendencies, in other words: merge spookery with storytelling... my ultimate goal! That being said, none of this stopped me from having a little creative fun as I decided to say goodbye...

Don't get me wrong I love my old boss, but oh boy, can he be shady! I thought I'd do this little photo shoot/tribute to say farewell and create that old-school, pie-eyed Mickey we all know and love, but bring out his greedy/carny side, just for kicks. Lots of my Disney friends (who are all probably the most wonderful people I've ever been given the chance to work with) liked it, but I can tell some were creeped out... Hey, it's my job!
