The American western frontier is an interesting time and place. Pretty brutal, though less so than the big east-coast cities of the time, and many people running away from civilization to live free.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful landscape, and there were many beautiful people out west. Emperor Norton, Mark Twain, countless indigenous tribes pushed west, the Latinos and Mexicans coming from the south.
I guess it depends on what kind of story you want to tell, and then it's all down to research! Heh heh. Good luck!
